The Biggar Camera Club have for a number of years had an exhibition at the Biggar Little Festival including a number of photographs from each member. Walking exhibition of the Purves Puppets, starting from Ian Purves’s childhood when he first got interested in making puppets with his father in the Second World War era.We will be showing pictures of our work from all over the world, different puppets and displays that tell the tale of the Purves Puppets history from the beginning.Clifford Heap was a puppeteer and traveling performer. who started in the late 1940’s, performing with his son Douglas and two other puppeteers.This exhibition shows a set of his models for the play by Hans Andersen - “The Tinderbox”, they are spectacular in their detail and cinematic lighting.Fairground at night and an explosion in the dungeon, were just two of these amazing scenes!Suitable for ages 7+..
