Biggar Little Festival has thrived for over 20 years thanks to the generous support and enthusiasm of the people and businesses of Biggar and the surrounding area.
Trustees past and present have given time and effort freely throughout the year to plan and organise the Festival alongside our many volunteers and participants. The support provided by patrons and business sponsors helps us to host affordable ticketed events and free activities for the joy and benefit of our community. Most of all, the time and efforts dedicated by performers and participants from all the local theatre, music and art groups who plan, rehearse and put on all the many and diverse events make the enduring Biggar Little Festival so valued and unique.

Festival time itself throws up a host of jobs. Our team of volunteers take shifts manning the Gillespie Box Office and Information Centre, help to set up the Craft Fair, organise street parking, steward the Silent Disco and much more besides. There are many indoor and outdoor tasks to cover. Even if you only have time for a single two hour shift, your contribution is valuable and can make a real difference.
Preparation for the festival begins early in the year with meetings of subgroups for publicity, artists’ events and Biggar Day Out. Maybe you have specialist skills to offer or interests in a particular area? From distributing programs and fliers, helping to secure signage or working on fundraising, there can be a place for you in the Biggar Little Festival team.

Biggar Little Festival would like to say a huge thank you to all our existing Patrons. The Festival Patrons are vital to supporting the Festival and their contributions allow the Festival to continue to flourish and develop.
If you would like to support the Festival and your local community you can become a Patron for a minimum annual donation of £20.
In recognition of your support you will be entered into a draw to win 2 tickets to a BLF hosted event and be entitled to buy up to 4 tickets to any event 24 hours before they go on sale to the public. You will also be invited to the opening reception in October, offering you an opportunity to meets some of the artists and representatives of many of the groups and organisations involved in the Festival.
For ease of administration, we encourage payment by standing order. This can be arranged quarterly, half-yearly or annually, by indicating on the Patrons form. We also accept payment by cheque.
In addition, Gift Aid increases the value of your donation by allowing us to reclaim basic rate tax on your gift. That means if you give £20 using Gift Aid, it's worth £25.00 to us.

The benefits your support gives are a lifeline to keep the Festival alive and flourishing. With your help we are able to provide a service which promotes our local groups, provides diverse events at affordable prices and bring visitors to come and discover our town. Businesses or individuals may prefer to focus their sponsorship on a specific event. This can increase brand awareness in an area with which they might have a special interest and be a good fit well their social and community responsibility. Biggar Little Festival welcomes individual sponsorship for headline events, free events, special projects and to offer extra support for local groups.
