Volunteers are what make Biggar Little Festival happen. We would like to say thank you to all our volunteers who help us with all sorts of jobs including:
How do you fancy being a street steward on the Big Day Out or taking a few shifts at our box office and information centre? The entire Festival committee is made up of volunteers too and we are always on the look out for new committee members. Could you be the one who organises the Big Day Out? Or helps with fundraising or updating the business plan?
The Festival faces many challenges over the coming years but it is an exciting time too. Each year we try to make the Festival the 'best yet' and our volunteers are a big part of making that happen.
If you would like to get involved and you have some time and talent for anything from the straightforward to the more involved, then please contact us. We will get back in touch to chat about how you can help. However you get involved it is bound to be fulfilling and bring new experiences, working with enthusiastic folk whose primary interest is enjoying the local arts scene around Biggar.
The trustees and committee of Biggar Little Festival would like to pass on their sympathies to the family of Norma Love, who passed away on the 1st January 2019. She unfortunately had cancer and was looked after by friends and family prior to being admitted to The Kello Hospital Biggar a few days prior to her death.
Norma was a keen supporter of Biggar Little Festival who gave up her time to volunteer in our box office for a number of years. She was always warm and friendly and made all visitors to our box office very welcome. Her presence will be sorely missed by us all.
Our thanks also go to the family of Norma who have kindly sent a donation to our festival funds on her behalf.
