Neil Ghani is a local artist specialising in abstract art, in particular abstract expressionism influenced by the spirit of Pollock, Klein, Rothko and Kandinsky. His goal is for his art to continuously grab your attention making you think “Wow, that’s cool!” Neil uses colours to capture warmth and joy and uses techniques to give a sense of energy and vitality to his work. He tries to sprinkle in a little anarchic playfulness too. So, if you’ve got a blank wall, and want something colourful to grab your attention, Neil’s work might be for you. Typical size is 120cm x 100cm. At the same location you are also able to explore Jaquie Kilburn’s work, who is sharing this venue with Neil.
From Biggar, take B7016 to Carnwath. Shortly after Shieldhill exit, take second exit to Newbigging. Greenshields is a group of 9 cottages. Neil’s is first on the left.
