Claire is a local, young self taught graphite pencil artist. Having been brought up in the farming industry the focus of her artwork is farm animals, wildlife and pet portraits through commission work. Claire spends 6 months of the year working for a Livestock Artificial Breeding Company and is also heavily involved in Sheering Sheep in Norway and New Zealand…all of which increases her passion for drawing through meeting many potential clients and their animals from all corners of the world. Join us 10 to 4pm daily from the 19th to 29th October where you can enjoy some refreshments while you browse Claire’s original drawings, limited edition prints and wide selection of homeware that is all for sale...

The New Focus Octet presented by Biggar Music

The second New Focus album released in August 2016 has been quietly picking up some very favourable reviews for it's unusual blend of classical, jazz, and Scottish Folk. This original music was written by Euan Stevenson and Konrad Wiszniewski for jazz quartet, string quartet, woodwind and harp. The Guardian said: "the mix of the strings' elegance, flickers of tango, blues and Celtic folk-music, the fluency of the soloists, and the controlled power of Janisch and Cosker in the rhythm section mostly make this a very musical set in its sometimes swoonily, low-lit way”...
