Want to hone your skills?  Try something new? Check this list of arts and crafts workshops and take your pick:

Biggar Stitches are hosting a number of workshops.  Quilted Patchwork Cushion Cover and Cozies for Microwaveable and Snack Bowls are under the skilled instruction of Kim Higgins.  Or, have fun with Free Motion Embroidery (see illustration, left) guided by experienced artist Patricia West.  Her own work is on display on the Open Studios Trail.

Kay Booton's artistic skills in pencil drawing are shared in her 3 hour workshops at her Roberton Studio.  Pencil Drawing Workshops are for all ages and abilities.   Relax, refresh and improve your skills.

Susheila Jamieson's ever popular workshops are held at her purpose built studios in picturesque Rachan, Broughton. This year you'll be able to turn your hand to Stone Carving or Mosaics - both if you're up to it!. Try something different under expert tutelage.

Apart from showing her own Earthware Pottery on the Open Studios Trail, potter Viv Newton will have a selection of blanks - ornaments, mugs, plates and bowls - for you to decorate in your own style! Viv will provide guidance, of course, to help you Paint Your Own Pottery.

We're sure you'll find something to get your creative juices going and there's lots of other workshops going on for children and those with a musical bent. Have a look at the web site for everything that's going on.
