Jennifer Turner and Sylvie Stainton

This year Jennifer is delighted to be sharing her space with Sylvie Stainton so their paintings and sculpures will fill both the front studio looking onto the High Street and the big kitchen area behind.
New paintings featuring Scottish landscapes, trees, birds, wind, and weather.
All are welcome to drop in for a browse and a chat about art, techniques, or just what’s going on during Art Trail weekend.

Sylvie is a sculptor who is inspired by her connection to nature and her interest in mythology. Her experience of working three dimensionally has transformed her way of seeing and feeling. As a sculptor Sylvie starts by looking at the piece of stone or wood to let the Being within it to be seen and revealed. Through the patient
process of observing and carving it is manifested. Sylvie is often surprised by the Beings that emerge.
